Waldemar Karwowski, CIEHF William Floyd Award

Waldemar Karwowski, Pegasus Professor and Chair, Department of Industrial Engineering & Management Systems, received the prestigious William Floyd Award from U.K.-based Chartered Institute of Ergonomics & Human Factors on April 26, 2017. This field of engineering involves human-centered design of systems, processes and equipment developed to fit people’s natural capabilities and limitations.

Deborah Nightingale, NAE, Joins IEMS

Dr. Deborah Nightingale joined UCF as a University Distinguished Professor in January 2017. She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) and past-president and fellow of the Institute of Industrial and System Engineers.
