Dr. Gavriel Salvendy, member of the U.S. National Academy of Engineering (NAE), joins the Department of Industrial Engineering beginning this Fall. He was the first elected member from the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society "for fundamental contributions to and professional leadership in human, physical and cognitive aspects of engineering systems.”
Catherine Ninah, an undergraduate student majoring in Industrial Engineering, is one of two UCF students who was presented with the prestigious Astronaut Scholarship on October 13th, 2016.
On Tuesday, September 27th, Brian DeZavala, Executive Vice President of ScreenworksUSA donated 30 custom polo shirts, embroidered with a Society of Sales Engineers (SSE) logo designed by the student team. This donation allows the SSE students to proudly display their SSE and UCF affiliation in national and regional competitions.
Dr. Luis Rabelo, IEMS Associate Professor, is featured in UCF Today during Hispanic Heritage Month. Heather Keathley has a background in systems and industrial engineering and received her BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. She recently completed a dual doctoral degree with Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech and the Department of Economics, Management, and Leadership at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium in 2016. Her research is in Management Systems Engineering with a focus on organizational change and transformation.
