Alpha Pi Mu’s Student Chapter at UCF won 2nd place in the National 2013 Outstanding Chapter Award! Special credit goes to the 2013 officers: President: Dunia Villaverde, Vice President: Alex Pratt, Treasurer: Josh Patzner, and Secretary: Megan Wetzel and of course their faculty advisor, Dr. Jennifer Pazour. Alpha Pi Mu gives recognition to students in Industrial Engineering who have shown exceptional academic interests and abilities, leadership, ethicality, sociability, and widespread interest. Alpha Pi Mu encourages participation in activities which may be beneficial to the profession of Industrial Engineering.
Alpha Pi Mu (APM) had a very busy year with many fund raising and service activities including APM Polo Shirts, Give Kids the World, UCF Arboretum Service Project, Dessert for Dinner, Halloween Treats with Coalition for the Homeless, Lockheed Martin Day of Caring, California Pizza Kitchen Fundraiser, Dancing Against Cancer, Oyster Mats, Relay for Life, and the Yogurtopia Fundraiser impacting hundreds of people in the community.
