At the UCF Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems, we boast a diverse and growing faculty that’s been recognized locally, nationally and internationally for its support of space missions for NASA, its research on social media sentiment analysis and STEM education analytics.

Our academic programs are distinguished by an outstanding selection of undergraduate and graduate courses as well as graduate degrees that are consistently ranked among the top programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Thanks to our strong ties with our corporate partners, our students’ academic journeys include real-world experiences of developing solutions for industry clients. Our graduate programs are structured to support the emergence of Central Florida as a national center of high technology as well as supporting the diverse service industries in the region and throughout the nation.

The Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems is housed within the College of Engineering and Computer Science, one of 13 colleges at UCF. It includes the Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering, which promotes cross disciplinary research with partners in industry and government, and the Computational Neuroergonoics Laboratory, which advances health and safety, system design and communication with work at the intersection of engineering and neuroscience. The department is home to the Engineering Leadership and Innovation Institute at UCF, a program that inspires the next generation of engineering leaders to deliver world-changing solutions.

We’re also located in sunny Orlando, Florida, near the top theme parks in the world, a major international airport, beautiful beaches and cultural venues such as the Orlando Museum of Art and the Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts. Moreover, we’re conveniently located near major engineering companies such as Siemens, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, and Mitsubishi Power Systems, to name a few.
